一句話能挑起連天的戰火，

一句話能表達我們更多的感受，

語言在生活中是這麼的有影響力。你是否有過這樣的經驗：

當自己在說話的時候，卻沒有人願意去聽？

朱利安．崔久整理出講話中的「七宗罪」，這可能是我們在講話時無意間暴露的缺點：

1.Gossip：在別人背後指指點點、搬弄是非。
2.Judging：在交談時很容易的去評斷一件事或一個人。
3.Negativity：大家不願意聽心態消極的人講出的話。
4.Complaining：抱怨會帶來負面的情緒。
5.Excuses：找藉口推脫責任。
6.Lying：說話過分誇張，甚至欺騙。
7.Dogmatism：用自以為是的觀點去武斷一件事。

我們要怎麼去避免這些錯誤，講話是否有能遵循的原則呢？

朱利安．崔久總結出了四個基本要點「HAIL」，這四個英文字分別代表：
1.Honesty(誠實)
2.Authenticity(誠懇)
3.Integrity(言行一至)
4.Love(內心充滿慈愛)

除了講話內容，「聲音」也是很重要的表達工具，我們可以藉此去加強我們說話的力量。

1.聲區：一般人都是透過喉嚨發出聲音，但想加強聲音的厚重感，可以透過胸腔發聲。為什麼我們會投票給嗓音低沉的候選人？因為低沉的嗓音會讓我們想到力量和權威。
2.音色：我們偏好豐富而流動、溫柔的嗓音。
3.抑揚頓挫：就好比唱歌，它能使語言的層次分明；平淡、單一的語調很不利於他人聆聽。
4.語速：極快的語速能表現出興奮；放慢的語速有強調的效果。
5.音量：音量的放重與放輕很重要，在公共場合，大聲如雷的講話會造成別人不好的觀感。「說話是有意識的表達、讓人樂於傾聽的」，不是一昧的去說別人想聽的話，而是要透過思考與判斷，一句話的正確性與正面性都有很大的影響力去改變世界。

Julian is a sound and communication expert. He travels the world training people to listen better and create healthier sound. He is author of the books How to be Heard and Sound Business.

Julian’s five TED talks have been watched more than 80 million times. His latest, How to speak so that people want to listen, is in the top 10 TED talks of all time. Julian is regularly featured in the world’s media, including TIME Magazine, The Times, The Economist and the BBC.

Julian is also founder of The Sound Agency. The audio-branding company asks and answers the question “How does your brand sound?”. The Sound Agency work with some of the world’s biggest brands to improve their sound. Their award-winning work has made headlines internationally.

Julian’s love of sound stems from his early experience as a musician. He was a drummer for British band The Transmitters, amongst many others, and played on their second Peel Session in 1981.

Before The Sound Agency, Julian spent 30 years working in advertising and publishing. He founded, grew and sold contract magazine publishing agency TPD. Nowadays, Julian splits his time between London and Orkney, where he lives with his fiancee and youngest daughter
